The third Caliph of the Islam is Hazrat Usman (r.a), who is one of the Companions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. The Usman (r.a) was a Caliphate of Islam for 12 great years, after the Martyrdom of Hazrat Umar (r.a). The rebuilding of "Masjid-e-Nabwi was the great work done by Usman (r.a). He holds a great place near the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said that: Every Prophet will have a special companion of Him in the Heaven, and my companion there will be Usman. (Ibn-e-Majah).
On the 18th Zil-Hajj, Friday 35 Hijri, he was being martyred by the Jews and mutants when He was reciting the Holy Quran in His home in the position of Fasting.
