Sawab – A Good Deed

Sawab is an Arabic word which means “right” the opposite of wrong. When we call it by Sawab it is from the world’s good deeds while if we do a good deed for Allah Almighty then it will be call as Thawab. But there are many pronunciations of the one word for example Thawab, Savab, Sawab, Sauap and sevap. The word Thawab is in the use of large geographical area where people believe in Islam. In Pakistan and India it is used as “Sawab” or “Savab”. In the society of Kazakh it is pronounced as “suaup”. In Iran it is uses as “Savab”. In areas of Arab it is used as Thawab while in Turkey it is modified as sevap.

Normally any and all good acts are considered to participate towards earning sawab, however for a Muslim there are certain acts that are more rewarding than anything else.
