Hazrat Usman

The third Caliph of the Islam is Hazrat Usman (r.a), who is one of the Companions of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. He was the one to whom the Prophet, peace be upon him, given the reward of the Jannat in this world. Usman (r.a) belongs to the clan of Quraish, named Banu Umayyia. His full name was Usman Ibn-e-Affan and according to the Patronymic traditions, it was Abu Amr. He was from a rich family of the Makkah. His birth took place 6 years after the incident of Amul-Feel in Taif, 573 C.E. He was one of the literate, both from Kufar and Muslimin in the early days of the Islam.
The family of the Usman was one of the respectable families of the Makkah. He was also from the Muhajirin, who migrated from Makkah to Medinah. The Prophet, peace be upon him, made his left hand on oath for the Usman (r.a). The event is remembered as "Oath of Rizwan (Bait-e-Rizwan) in the history of the Islam.
The Usman (r.a) was a Caliphate of Islam for 12 great years, after the Martyrdom of Hazrat Umar (r.a). The rebuilding of "Masjid-e-Nabwi was the great work done by Usman (r.a). He holds a great place near the Prophet, peace be upon him, who said that: Every Prophet will have a special companion of Him in the Heaven, and my companion there will be Usman. (Ibn-e-Majah).
On the 18th Zil-Hajj, Friday 35 Hijri, he was being martyred by the Jews and mutants when He was reciting the Holy Quran in His home in the position of Fasting. His special duty done to the Muslims was to arrange the Holy Quran in the form of the Book. This cannot be forgotten by the Muslims till the day of judgement.
